Tandem Skydive - Doing it for Mum

Story

Having a fear of heights and being petrified of flying I have decided to challenge myself in my mum's memory and do a tandem skydive at Langar, Nottinghamshire on 20th July 2014. I know it will be difficult however, if I can demonstrate a fraction of the courage my mum showed fighting this awful disease then I will have achieved my aim. Lung cancer is the greatest cancer killer in UK and yet only receives 8% of the research funding! Early diagnosis really does save lives.

The Red Lion, Ruskington, as always, is a fantastic help with fundraising for mum's fund. Andrea and her staff are bucket collecting at functions and also have a raffle and sponsorship forms dotted about the pub. I have written to very local businesses asking for sponsorship and will see if that gets any response. I would love to get mums fund up to £4000 this year. This is going to be a huge personal challenge for me but I am doing it as mum always encouraged me to live life to the full and I just want to make her, and my family, proud. What better way than doing it with Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. If any funds raised give one individual a few more moments with their loved ones then it is more than worthy of my fear - what's the worst that could happen LOL!!!!!!!!!
